JSC Ventbunkers is one of the leading oil product transshipment terminals in Ventspils port. Its general transshipment capacity makes 7 million tons per year. The waste-water treatment facilities belonging to JSC Ventbunkers collects and carries out purification of wash water from vessel cargo tanks, polluted ballast waters and industrial sewage.

 The advantageous geographical position, location near the port water area and also the developed infrastructure is allowing JSC Ventbunkers to use its resources in the most effective way.

Structure of the Company

 

Management 

The JSC Ventbunkers is managed by shareholders meeting, Supervisory Board and Management Board.

Shareholders

Only JSC Ventbunkers shareholder meeting has the competence to make decisions on changes in charters, on recruitment and withdrawal Supervisory Board members, external and internal auditors and liquidators, to approve the annual financial report and the use of profit, to increase or reduce the shareholder capital, to decide on issue and conversion of securities, to decide on the termination, continuation or reorganization of activity of the enterprise.

Supervisory Board

Supervisory Board of JSC Ventbunkers is monitoring body which represents interests of shareholders between shareholder meetings and supervises activities of the Management Board according to framework specified in the law and charters.

Shareholder meeting elects Supervisory board members of JSC Ventbunkers for a period of 3 years.

Management Board

The Management Board of JSC Ventbunkers is executive body which operates and represents the enterprise. The Management Board is responsible for commercial activity of the enterprise and financial reporting according to applicable laws and regulations. The Board manages the property of the enterprise and handles its assets according to laws, charters and the decisions made by shareholders meeting and Supervisory board.

 Supervisory Board of JSC Ventbunkers elects the Management Board for a period of 3 years.

Types of reception

From a land

For acceptance of oil products of JSC Ventbunkers uses two railway trestles: one with two ways where each way capable to discharge 30 tank cars at a time, the second trestle with three ways where it is possible to discharge respectively 12, 12 and 8 tank cars. It is possible at the same time to process 92 cars tanks.

From sea

The JSC Ventbunkers has opportunity to accept fuel oil and diesel fuel also from tankers.

Transshipment

From a land

It is possible to transport diesel fuel from the territory using tank-truck.

From sea

Transshipment of oil products is organized mainly by loading oil products on the tankers. Transshipment can happen from four piers. Available parameters of depth provide loading of oil products in tankers with the maximum loading capacity up to 150 000 DWT. The cleaning and deepening of the water area of the port is done regularly. Necessary works in the water area of port are are organized by Ventspils Free Port Authority.

Transshipment of freight in the tanker can happen at the same time from one or several shore tanks. Thus, the maximum capacity for loading of diesel fuel can reach 3 600 m3 in hour. In turn, the maximum capacity for loading of fuel oil can reach 2 500 m3 in hour.

JSC Ventbunkers is located in the territory of Ventspils free port on the nonfreezing coast of the Baltic Sea. The Ventspils port can accept the biggest vessels, which can navigate in the Baltic Sea, vessels like AFRAMAX with a loading capacity up to 150 000 DWT.

Transshipment capacity depends on what oil product is transshipped, from terms of its storage and from favorable conditions for its loading on vessels.

Throughout the unstable conditions in the market, the JSC Ventbunkers enterprise realizes a number of projects to increase transshipment capacity, to improve competitiveness and to attract new clients.

Railway Trestles

For acceptance of oil products of JSC Ventbunkers uses two railway trestles: one with two ways where each way capable to discharge 30 tank cars at a time, the second trestle with three ways where it is possible to discharge respectively 12, 12 and 8 tank cars.

It is possible at the same time to process 92 cars tanks. 

The maximum quantity of tank cars with fuel oil possible to discharge at the same time – 72 tank cars, in turn the maximum quantity of tank cars with diesel fuel possible to discharge at the same time – 80 cars tanks.

Total length of the railroads in the territory – 4647 m. The access railroad can place 108 cars tanks.
