In 2014 total amount of oil products transhipped in AS VENTBUNKERS terminal equals 2’377’305 tons.
AS VENTBUNKERS has achieved good results in transhipping dark oil products in 2014 as the transhipment volume had increased by 42% in comparison to 2013. In total 2’177’345 tons of dark oil products had been transhipped in 2014 (fuel oil and vacuum gasoil).
Demand for dark oil products transhipment services had notably increased at the end of 2014 – in November 313’902 tons of dark oil products were transhipped, which is three fold the amount transhipped in November 2013. Altogether in November the largest monthly dark oil products transhipment volume was reached since the beginning of 2010. Whereas in December 203’931 tons of dark products were transhipped which is double the amount transhipped in December year before.
During 2014 AS VENTBUNKERS management has worked intensively on development of light oil products transhipment technology at the terminal and attraction of light oil products transhipment customers. Cooperation agreement with a new client has been concluded in the beginning of the year. Also since the beginning of the year range of services available to customers has improved – technologies are being refined at the terminal in order to provide simultaneous storage and transhipment of various sorts of light oil products, including storage and transhipment of biodiesel. Also the responsible state authorities have issued licences allowing blending of various light products during the transhipment process in behalf of the clients, obtaining fuel of certain required quality parameters.
In the result during twelve months period AS VENTBUNKERS terminal has transhipped actual 199’960 tons of light oil products including biodiesel. During the twelve months period light oil products were delivered by sea tankers only.
Management of AS VENTBUNKERS is working intensively to maintain economic and technological advantages of AS VENTBUNKERS terminal during the current complex economic and geopolitical circumstances, and to retain at least the current level of transhipment volume also in 2015.
According to financial data net result of AS VENTBUNKERS operations in 2014 exceeds EUR 15 million (before audit).
