During the first eight months of 2014 1’535’659 tons of oil products had been transhipped in AS VENTBUNKERS terminal.
AS VENTBUNKERS has achieved good results in transhipping dark oil products during the first eight months of 2014 as the transhipment volume increased by 9% in comparison to analogue period last year. In total 1’385’866 tons of dark oil products had been transhipped (fuel oil and vacuum gasoil) during the first eight months of 2014.
In the transhipment field of dark oil products good performance showed in the first half of the year – 1’242’291 tons were transhipped exceeding the amount in the year before by 17%. Also during the first two months of the second half year the transhipment volume of dark oil products remained stable, transhipping total 143’757 tons.
Starting the end of 2013 AS VENTBUNKERS management has worked intensively on development of light oil products transhipment technology at the terminal and attraction of light oil products transhipment customers. Cooperation agreement with a new client has been concluded in the beginning of the year. Also since the beginning of this year range of services available to customers has improved – technologies had been refined at the terminal in order to provide simultaneous storage and transhipment of various sorts of light oil products, including storage and transhipment of biodiesel. Also the responsible state authorities have issued licences allowing blending of various light products during the transhipment process in behalf of the clients, obtaining fuel of certain required quality parameters.
In the result during the eight months period AS VENTBUNKERS terminal has transhipped actual 149’792 tons of light oil products including biodiesel. During the eight months period light oil products were delivered by sea tankers only.
