During the first ten months of 2014 1’837’671 tons of oil products had been transhipped in AS Ventbunkers terminal.
AS Ventbunkers has achieved good results in transhipping dark oil products during the first ten months of 2014 as the transhipment volume increased by 23% in comparison to analogue period last year. In total 1’659’513 tons of dark oil products had been transhipped (fuel oil and vacuum gasoil) during the first ten months of 2014.
In the dark oil products transhipment field very good results were reached particularly in September and October. During September 100’151 tons were transhipped which exceeds the amount transhipped in September last year by 80% and exceeds the amount of August by 7%. Whereas in October 173’496 tons of dark oil products were transhipped, which is six fold the amount in October last year, and exceeds the amount of previous month by 73%.
During year, 2014 AS Ventbunkers management has worked intensively on development of light oil products transhipment technology at the terminal and attraction of light oil products transhipment customers. Cooperation agreement with a new client has been concluded in the beginning of the year. Also since the beginning of the year range of services available to customers has improved – technologies had been refined at the terminal in order to provide simultaneous storage and transhipment of various sorts of light oil products, including storage and transhipment of biodiesel. Also the responsible state authorities have issued licences allowing blending of various light products during the transhipment process in behalf of the clients, obtaining fuel of certain required quality parameters.
In the result during the ten months period AS Ventbunkers terminal has transhipped actual 178’158 tons of light oil products including biodiesel. During the ten months period light oil products were delivered by sea tankers only.
Management of AS Ventbunkers is working intensively to maintain economic and technological advantages of AS Ventbunkers terminal during the current complex economic and geopolitical circumstances, and to maintain the transhipment volume next year to the current level at least.
Net result of AS Ventbunkers operations in 9 months period 2014 is EUR 13.9 million (before audit).
