JSC VENTBUNKERS largest taxpayer in Ventspils second year in a row

2015 - 05 - 15

On May 13, 2015 in the Castle of the Livonian Order Ventspils City Council awarded its largest taxpayers.

The second consecutive year JSC VENTBUNKERS received an award as the largest taxpayer and leading taxpayer to Ventspils City Council budget in Transport and storage sector, since we have contributed more than one million euro to the city budget.

JSC VENTBUNKERS has always considered its duty to pay taxes timely and properly both to national and municipal budgets. Although we have received criticism regarding both the transhipment volume and management of the company, the fact that JSC VENTBUNKERS is the largest taxpayer witnesses productive and successful operations of the company.

Management of JSC VENTBUNKERS is making significant effort to ensure fast growing economic operations and maintain stable number of employees in the company (the company employs more than 300 employees), as well as to ensure proper level of remuneration.

During current complicated geopolitical situation JSC VENTBUNKERS has successfully managed to build a solid customer base. In 2013 company’s profit was 19 million and in 2014 it was EUR 17 million, which is one of the largest in JSC VENTBUNKERS history of twenty years operations.

JSC VENTBUNKERS hopes that as the entrepreneurial environment in Ventspils improves, business’ contribution to municipal budget will increase each year both from the incumbent business entities and the new companies carrying stable and lucrative operations.

JSC VENTBUNKERS Management will certainly continue to make significant efforts to improve the company’s economic performance, maintain the level of employment and the amount of taxes paid.

By receiving the award, JSC VENTBUNKERS wishes to emphasize the importance of actual assessment made by Ventspils City Council and its actions, e.g. in situations when issues regarding environmental concerns or the company’s further development are being addressed. In cases like these, considering the noticeable contribution JSC VENTBUNKERS has made to the municipal budget and employment of inhabitants, we expect understanding and supportive treatment by the municipality instead of staining JSC VENTBUNKERS or misrepresentation of facts as has happened so far.

Also the Company truly hopes that residents of Ventspils and its visitors will appreciate JSC VENTBUNKERS input in urban environment.
